Student Employment

Although we are living on an international campus and are under the patronage of a university with an international outlook, UCU students and international students in particular have been running into great difficulties in finding adequate jobs for their skills and training.

ASIC has taken upon its self to explore this issue and work in collaboration with the U-Raad and Michael Price, the Student Life Officer at UCU, to try and come up with solutions. We are looking into several options at the moment:

  • Increasing student employment on campus
  • Creating a list of internationally friendly companies which are willing to hire non Dutch speaking students
  • Lobbying within Utrecht University for the development of more student employment for UCU students

This is an ongoing project which requires creating a lot of propositions and doing a lot of research so it is hard to say when will be able to present you with more concrete results, however, have no fear, ASIC is working and it – we’ve got you covered!
